ABSA Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
Professional Indemnity insurance is a mandatory requirement for ABSA Accreditation.
ABSA has already negotiated a program for Professional Indemnity insurance based on
volume of assessments carried out and is very competitive. ABSA is continuing
negotiations to provide a similar volume based Public Liability program.
The Professional Indemnity program offers $10million worth of cover for ABSA Accredited
Assessors and provides unlimited run-off cover. The cover extends to professional
services where ABSA's accredited members are responsible for performing assessments
of the thermal performance of buildings.
Please note that Professional Indemnity is mandatory for all accredited assessors
and Public Liability insurance is mandatory for accredited assessors who carry out
existing dwelling assessments. Making use of ABSA insurance program is optional.

Indemnity Insurance Fees
ABSA's PI insurance fees are based on the number of certificates you issue. Below is a schedule of PI insurance fees:

To pay for an Annual Accreditation/Re-accreditation with or without ABSA PI Insurance, please select a package based on the number of assessments and email
support@absa.net.au so that an invoice can be sent to you.
